Emily Feistritzer is a nationally recognized education innovator, policy leader, and founder of the Future Teaching Institute (FTI). For decades, she has been at the forefront of rethinking how teachers are prepared, credentialed, and supported—challenging outdated systems and advancing bold, practical alternatives.

She founded TEACH-NOW in 2011 (which later became Moreland University), an international online teacher preparation program that trained teachers across 150+ countries before its acquisition. Her work has been cited in congressional hearings and has influenced education policy at the highest levels.

With 45+ published works on education, Dr. Feistritzer brings an unmatched depth of research and practical experience to FTI's mission. Dr. Feistritzer has testified before the Congress of the United States and several state legislatures, briefed members of the Administration, delivered numerous speeches and authored articles in professional journals on the topic of the preparation and certification of teachers and school administrators. Her work has been covered by newspapers and periodicals across the country, including: The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Washington Times, Investors Business Daily, Business Week, Time, Newsweek and U.S. and News World Report.
